It’s been a while since I last blogged, and for good reason. Over the past several months, I’ve poured all my physical, mental, and emotional energy into planning, preparing for, and hosting my very first fundraiser for Tote-Tally Supported and our Signature Tote Program. And let me tell you—it was absolutely amazing, but also one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Still in treatment myself, juggling my own cancer journey with organizing a fundraiser was no easy feat. There were days I doubted I had the energy to keep going—my body and mind were exhausted—but I pushed through. Looking back now, it was worth every bit of effort, because this isn’t just an organization to me—it’s personal. I know the fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion that come with a cancer diagnosis, as well as how much it means when someone reaches out to say, “You are not alone.” That’s exactly what I want Tote-Tally Supported to do. I’m proud to share that our first fundraiser was a complete success! Even more heartwarming was the outpouring of support from local businesses and community members who donated their time, products, services, and generosity to help us bring our Signature Totes to those facing breast cancer. We also hit a huge milestone—securing our first sponsor! A heartfelt thank you to Lowman Law Firm for believing in what we’re building and becoming Tote-Tally Supported’s very first sponsor. The support from a local business like this means so much—not just financially, but emotionally, too.
